A true athletic spirit is to appreciate and respect others in the industry, even when we are talking about different sports. Professional athletes whether they are coming from the NFL or NASCAR have always appreciated the hard work that is required in order to compete in a big league.

That is why many NASCAR drivers have passions for other sports like NFL. Many drivers spend their free offseason time cheering for their favourite football teams, and they are not shy to speak publicly about their supporters.

This inspired us to make a list of NASCAR drivers that are true supporters of the teams on the football betting lines. So let’s dive deeper into the world of motorsport and find which of the drivers have developed a soft spot for NFL teams.

Brad Keselowski

Here we have a true legend from the NASCAR world with close to 500 races behind his 15-year career in motorsports. Brad Keselowski is a professional car racing driver, team owner, and entrepreneur. He also competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series driving the No.6 Ford Mustang for RFK Racing, which is a team he also co-owns.

Even though it sounds like Brad has too much on his plate, he also finds the time to watch football and he is a true supporter of the Detroit Lions.

He has never been shy about expressing his gratitude for the team, and on many occasions had shared his positive thoughts about the team. He also added that the greatest thing about the Lions is their impact on Detroit, which was once home to the automobile industry.

Kevin Harvick

Kevin Harvick is one of the most experienced drivers on the NASCAR grid with close to 800 races in the NASCAR Cup Series over his 22-year career. Throughout his racing career, he has won many achievements and awards and was the champion of the cup series back in 2014.

At an age of 46 years old, he continues to impress the public with his full-time competitive spirit in the NASCAR Cup Series, where he drives the No.4 Ford Mustang for Steward-Haas Racing.

Apart from being a huge petrol-head, Harvick is also a big football fan. Like most professional athletes, Harvick has never forgotten his West Coast roots and shows his support for the San Francisco 49ers even though he lived in North Carolina ever since entering the NASCAR championship.

Austin Dillon

Here we have a younger driver in the NASCAR series, who still has a big experience behind his name. Dillon has 12 years of experience in professional NASCAR racing and has raced in more than 300 races.

He is now competing professionally full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series driving the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing.

He has been a Panthers fan ever since they entered the National Football League back in 1995. Both he and his brother, have obtained Personal Seat Licenses and are trying to attend as many games as possible in their free time.

Danica Patrick

Danica Patrick is a former professional racing driver, and she is the most successful woman in the history of American open-wheel car racing. She had also participated in the NASCAR Cup Series and managed to enter almost 200 races.

In the early stages of her career, Danica was a Chicago Bears fan, until she started dating Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Now, her support is completely shifted and she to the Green Bay Packers and she is a true supporter of the team.

TY Dillon

TY Dillon is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Petty GMS Motorsports using Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 no.42. Despite being only 30 years old, he had competed in NASCAR for over 9 years and participated in more than 150 races.

Apart from being a passionate race, Dillion is also a big fan of the Carolina Panthers. With that said, his football Sundays can be very interesting since his wife is a former Seattle Seahawks cheerleader, making it really awkward when the Panthers beat the Seahawks in the 2015 Divisional round.

Clint Bowyer

Clint Bowyer is another legendary former NASCAR driver and is now a commentator for NASCAR on Fox. He competed in the big league for 15 years and his best finish is 2nd in the Championship.

As he is now retired from professional racing, he has more time to support his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs. A few years ago, the Chiefs celebrated a touchdown with a “pitstop” which Bowyer appreciated a lot since he is a die-hard Chiefs fan.
