Watch The Live Unveiling Of The Rolls-Royce Spectre Right Here

-

Rolls-Royce will soon unveil its first EV, the Spectre, and you can watch the unveiling live by tuning in to the video below.

The Spectre has been in the works for quite some time and recently completed an arduous testing and development program that saw it cover some 1.5 million miles (2.5 million km) all around the world. This is a very important car for Rolls-Royce as it will transition to an all-electric brand by 2030.

From a visual standpoint, spy shots of the Spectre have revealed that it will look similar to the brand’s current models. It will sport a long hood, have two doors, and come complete with a sloping roofline. A traditional Rolls-Royce grille also be found up front. The sleek design won’t just look good but has helped the carmaker achieved a drag coefficient of just 0.25.

Details about the car’s powertrain have not yet been confirmed but there’s a very good chance it will be the company’s most powerful and quickest production car.

It is not just the electric powertrain that will make the Spectre special. Rolls-Royce has developed a brand-new suspension system for it that will leverage the car’s high-speed computing capabilities and read everything from the surface ahead by using the satellite navigation system. This system will automatically decouple the anti-roll bars on straight sections of road and when the car is approaching a turn, the anti-roll bars will be recoupled, the dampers will stiffen, and the four-wheel steering system will be engaged.

Elsewhere, Rolls-Royce has confirmed the Spectre is based on a new aluminum architecture and that many important sections of the body are also made from the lightweight material.
