Visa Cash App RB, a renowned name in the Formula 1 World Championship, is proud to announce a strategic technical partnership with Roboze, the Italian company that is a global leader in high-performance 3D printing of composites. This collaboration signifies a new era in using advanced materials to produce critical components for racing vehicles, leveraging Roboze’s unmatched expertise in the field.

Visa Cash App RB has already been implementing and integrating Roboze technology in developing its single-seaters for several months and will continue to use it throughout the season. The goal is to produce parts that are impossible to make with other production methods due to incredibly complex geometries, made possible by the Italian company’s additive manufacturing technique for composites. This technique also aims to replace metal parts to reduce weight.

The primary objective of this partnership is to develop and implement ultralight yet incredibly durable components. These components, designed to maximize the performance of the single-seaters, will be made possible through the innovative use of advanced composite materials. Among the various products offered by Roboze, Carbon PEEK, a material based on a super polymer loaded with carbon fibres, has been selected for its superior thermal and mechanical resistance characteristics. This choice will enable the Visa Cash App RB F1 team to achieve significant weight reductions, improvements in aerodynamic efficiency, and an increase in the cars’ structural strength, thereby enhancing their performance on the track.

Alessio Lorusso, CEO of ROBOZE, expressed great enthusiasm for this new agreement:

We are thrilled to serve Visa Cash App RB, a team that shares our passion for innovation and excellence. This partnership represents a significant step forward in our mission to push the boundaries of 3D printing technology, bringing our advanced materials like Carbon PEEK directly to the Formula 1 tracks. It’s a unique opportunity to demonstrate how our solutions can help redefine performance and efficiency parameters in motorsport.

Stefano Natali, Director of Production at Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team, added:

Adopting Roboze’s 3D printing technologies will transform how we design and produce critical components for our cars. Using materials like Carbon PEEK allows us to optimize the weight and strength of our vehicles and significantly accelerate our development and innovation cycles, keeping us one step ahead of the competition. This partnership is a cornerstone of our strategy to stay at the forefront of the world championship.

The partnership between Roboze and Visa Cash App RB is set to establish new standards in Formula 1 and manufacturing. With a joint commitment to innovation and excellence, both organizations are ready to explore new horizons in producing high-performance components, demonstrating the transformative power of 3D printing in the automotive industry and beyond.
