The following events are planned for the week ahead throughout the region:

• The American Helicopter Museum & Education Center, West Chester, will host its FamilyFest on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. The event will include a car and motorcycle show, food trucks, beer garden, a World War II living history performance, exhibits, games, helicopter rides and static aircraft displays. Scheduled to attend are PAWS for People, Chester County Beekeepers Association, Locust Lane Brewery, PennSTAR medevac, Atlantic City Coast Guard, Paws and a Cause Seeing Eye Puppy Club and more. • The PA BBQ Fest — Blues, Brews & BBQs will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Jim Dietrich Park, Muhlenberg Township. Ten pit masters will be on hand, plus other food vendors and craft vendors. There will be children’s activities, wine and spirits, a beer tent and music by Project 22, Vince Rollins and Uncle Jake & the 18 Wheel Gang on Saturday, and Vynyl Rush, Pawnshop Bound and Front Porch Strippers on Sunday. • The Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance returns Saturday to the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in southwest Philadelphia, which in 2019 was voted the “No. 1 Car Collection in the World” by The Classic Car Trust, to celebrate the “Snakes” — the iconic Ford Shelby Cobra and Dodge Viper — each brand with its own unique provenance and cachet in the collector car world. Featured at this fifth annual event will be two of Carroll Shelby’s early “employees”: Peter Brock and Chuck Cantwell, who helped establish the Shelby brand worldwide, on the street and the racetrack, and Roy Sjoberg, known as “Father Viper,” who grew up in Media. Special events will include a panel discussion with Brock, Cantwell, Sjoberg and former Philadelphia Eagles coach Dick Vermeil. In addition, there will be family-friendly activities, a Car Corral open for local car enthusiasts to exhibit their classic cars, food and specialty vendors, as well as access to the Simeone Museum. • Pennypacker Mills, Schwenksville, will host a vintage “base ball” game between the Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia and the Brandywine Base Ball Club on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. The event will transport spectators back to a summer day in 1864 when the game was played on a grassy field, without fences or pricey seating. Bring a blanket or chair for seating. Suggested donation is $2. Pennypacker Mansion, home to Samuel Pennypacker, governor of Pennsylvania from 1903-1907, will be open for a free guided tour. • The Pagoda Hillclimb auto race will be held Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. along a 1.35 mile stretch of Duryea Drive in Reading leading up to the Pagoda on Mount Penn. There will be a shuttle bus picking up at Clymer Street and Hill Road to take spectators up to the viewing areas. Donations are requested to view the racing and ride the shuttle bus. • The Upper Merion Concerts Under the Stars Series kicks off Saturday with a performance by David Uosikkinen’s In the Pocket with opener Ben Arnold starting at 7 p.m. at the Upper Merion Township Building Park. Drummer Uosikkinen is one of the founding members of Philadelphia’s own The Hooters. In 2010, he formed his own band, David Uosikkinen’s In the Pocket, to bring awareness to music education and to pay homage to all of the great music that has come out of Philadelphia. In The Pocket brings together all-star Philly musicians to cover classic Philadelphia tunes. The venue has a Beer Garden and food trucks will be on site. • Singer-songwriter Dar Williams headlines the Bryn Mawr Twilight Concerts Series on Saturday at 7 p.m., rain or shine, at Bryn Mawr Gazebo Park, with openers Bruce Rits Gilbert & Matt Lyons. Williams rose out of the vibrant mid-90’s Boston scene, inspired by the eclectic influences of alt-rockers, Berklee jazz musicians, slam poets and folk artists like Patty Griffith, Melissa Ferrick, the Throwing Muses, Vance Gilbert and Jonatha Brooke. Her latest album, “I’ll Meet You Here,” was released last fall. Tickets are $15 for ages 16 and older, and $5 for ages 5 to 15. For more information and tickets, see brynmawrtwilightconcerts.com.

• The Centre Park Garden Tour will be held Saturday in two sessions in the Centre Park Historic District of Reading. The self-guided walking tour includes access to nine residential urban gardens, art exhibits, music and an educational live honey bee exhibit by Pollinating Penn. Great American Creamery ice cream will available all day in Centre Park. The first session runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with an optional buffet brunch from 10 a.m. to noon. The second session runs from 4 to 7 p.m., with an optional garden party from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $35 for either session and will be sold throughout the day at the Ticket Tent in Centre Park, in the 700 block of Centre Avenue. • Everclear brings its 30th anniversary tour to the Keswick Theatre, Glenside, on Thursday at 8 p.m., with openers Fastball and the Nixons. Everclear is known for such ’90s alt-rock hits as “Santa Monica” and “Father of Mine.” Tickets range from $30 to $70. Also coming up at the Keswick are The Music of Cream, featuring Will Johns and Cofi Baker performing such classic rock hits as “Spoonful,” “Strange Brew,” “Sunshine of Your Love,” “White Room,” “Crossroads” and “Badge,” on Friday at 8 p.m.; The Fab Faux with the Hogshead Horns and the Creme Tangerine Strings performing Beatles classics on Saturday at 8 p.m.; and the South Korean boy band Golden Child on Monday at 8 p.m. For tickets and more information, visit keswicktheatre.com.

• Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets kick off the weekend at Ardmore Music Hall with a show Thursday at 8 p.m., with openers Tommy McLain and CC Adcock. Starting with 1995′s “The Impossible Bird” through to 2011′s “The Old Magic,” Lowe has turned out a fantastic string of albums, each one devised in his West London home, and recorded with a core of musicians who possess the same veteran savvy. Performing Friday at 8 p.m. at Ardmore is the Neil Young tribute band Broken Arrow.  On Saturday at 8 p.m., Superunknown and the Ledbetters will present tributes to Chris Cornell and Pearl Jam. • The Havertown Irish Festival is scheduled for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., rain or shine, at Manoa Shopping Center’s rear lot. The festival features live music, a beer garden, food, crafters and a Kids’ Fun Zone. Main Stage entertainment will include Shades of Green, David Brown Band, John Byrne Band, Emerald Isle Dancers,Runa, The Irish Wilburys and Jamison. Admission is free.
